Once Upon An End_Story

So I made this bookmark design for National Book Month and I based it off the Brothers' Grimm stories where Happy Ever After isn't exactly always true and real.

With the Goosebumps movie line, "Every story ever told can be broken into three distinct parts. The beginning, the middle, and the twist." I drew a figure of a woman who's other half is disfigured (NBC Grimm's Hexenbiest; witch), symbolizing the twist. The colours on the first illustration aimed to look like it was drawn on paper like in the Book of Wesen from Grimm.

To the theme of Read, Reread, Relive: the background signifies the old paper used for books, scratched, blotched, practically a mess of strokes. The disfigured woman is life and death combined, the eternal story with no change. The faint words, "Once Upon A Time" and "The End" could be seen slightly which is the usual beginning and ending lines of stories told for children.

Read: Once upon a time, Life shows to become Death. The end.
Reread: Life ends in death.
Relive: Repeat.
